On March 2 the winners of Best Mebel UA, the most prestigious contest of the furniture industry in Ukraine, were announced at KIFF – Kiev International Furniture Forum.
ELIO became the winner in the nomination “Kitchen 2019” with the set “WIND” (with SMART GLASS facades).
Davidos Europe won in the nomination “Set of upholstered furniture” with the sofa “TEO”.
ZEGEN received the 1st place in the nomination “Bedroom set” for the set “ASH”.
ELIO was chosen to be the best in the nomination “Cabinet furniture, modular systems” for the wardrobe “AIR Nano”.
Donna Furniture Studio also won in the nomination “Kitchen 2019” with the kitchen “MIA”.
The workshop “Evolutionary architecture. Design of future from the first sketch to the augmented reality” by Nataliia Oleksiienko, head of Evolutionary Architecture studio, attracted great attention. She told us about the importance of KIFF for architects and designers.

Solmaz Fooladi presented the project Kindergarten in Loft at KIFF – Kiev International Furniture Forum 2019. The architect got down to the realization of the children centre project for the first time. In the short term Solmaz developed a unique and extraordinary interior which was immediately admired by children and met the expectations of their parents. Realization of such an unusual project has proved once again the experience and talent of the architect.
The creator of the project, the architect Solmaz Fooladi, told us some information about its idea.
Every year a big number of workshops by foreign designers and architects are held within Kiev International Furniture Forum KIFF 2019.
Thus, the workshop “French touch. The essence of French design out of time” by Didier Margueritte, French architect and designer, was held on the first day of the exhibition. Mr. Margueritte conducted a retrospective journey into the history of French design starting from old times till now.
